Business Model

We source what fits; we create what's missing.
Nine stages, one chain — our edge over ordinary factories and trading companies.

What we do best is not making everything ourselves. When a mature, reliable supply exists, we source it globally and pick the best; when the market is empty or blocked, we initiate the project and develop the process, then make it in our own plants. What truly sets us apart from ordinary factories and trading companies is one integrated chain — project initiation, R&D, technology transfer, quality control, audit, registration, AI digitalization, compliance and after-sales — with our own people, standards and systems in every link.

We don't promise to do 'everything,' nor do we dress up as a capacity giant. Both sourcing and making have limits, and we state them clearly: where we can deliver, we say to what extent; where we can't, we tell you exactly where to look.

Our model · Integrated value chain
The integrated value chain model

From project initiation and R&D through to sustained overseas supply, we are present on every segment of the value chain — and we hold up the middle with registration, audit, quality systems and digital governance so it does not sink.

01R&D and project initiation

Working back from end-market demand: feasibility, route design and process development, from lab scale to pilot scale.

02Manufacturing and capacity

Qualified capacity sourced globally, plus our own plants to carry production. We set the quality and delivery standards rather than passing them on.

03Market access

Registration support, export and market compliance, overseas customer networks — and sustained supply long after the sale.

04Underpinning: chain-wide integration

Registration, audit, quality systems and digital governance run through every stage, turning the middle manufacturing segment into a defensible one.

A typical plant guards only the middle segment; a trading company just moves goods between the two ends. We occupy the whole chain, and carry one accountability across it.

Source or Create: Two Legs, One Integrated Chain

Our strength is not making everything ourselves. It is this: source when a qualified option exists; initiate, develop and produce in our own plants when it doesn't. The real gap is the nine-link chain below — ordinary factories can't cover the front end, ordinary trading companies can't hold the back end. We hold every link.

Source · Global Sourcing

When a mature, reliable supply exists, we don't reinvent the wheel: we work backward from end-market demand to decide what to source, then compare globally — quotes, samples, audits — and only approve qualified suppliers.

  • Global comparison: multi-source quotes, sample checks, on-site audits
  • Tiered network: core plants for volume, flexible plants for gaps, labs for cross-checks
  • Sourcing is not flipping: every deal is backed by technical judgment
Create · In-house Development & Production

When the market is empty, supply is blocked, or quality is unstable, we initiate the project: business case, route design, process development, scale-up — and finally produce in our own plants.

  • Initiation: why this one — patent window, demand strength, technical barrier
  • Process R&D: route design, lab to pilot, scale-up validation
  • Our own plants produce; we set the quality and delivery standards

Sourcing is not flipping — it takes technical judgment. Making is not making anything — only what we can master. Products can be sourced; capability must be ours.

Initiation to After-sales · Nine Links in One

Every link has our own people, standards and systems — so nothing breaks between a rough idea and sustained after-sales supply. AI digitalization is the data backbone running through all nine.

These nine stages below are what hold up the middle of the chain.

Sourcing or making, these nine links stay under one accountable party — the whole journey from a spot batch to localised production.

How we work with you: three engagement models

Three standard ways to engage, chosen by how deep you want us in. We do all three.

FSO · Full-service outsourcing

Hand us a product end to end — sourcing, registration, long-term supply. Our systems, our processes, our people. You track outcomes, with a single point of accountability.

FSP · Functional service provision

Take just one function — audit, registration support, sample comparison. It runs on your systems and under your direction; we supply the specialists.

Strategic alliance

Long-term commitment for core partners: reserved capacity, joint governance, shared risk and reward, and deep embedding into your quality and compliance systems.

FSO = full-service outsourcing; FSP = functional service provider. The difference comes down to three things: bundled or unbundled, whose systems run it, and who holds the controls.

Three ways to do the same job

'Different from ordinary factories and trading companies' is not a slogan — line by line, here is the difference.

Business Model Canvas (one-page view)

The nine cells index this page: one line each, with the fuller explanation further down. Filled with what we actually do today — not an aspirational chart.

1Key Partners

Named manufacturing sites in our tiered supplier network, CRO / CDMO technical partners, and registration and commercial partners across Europe and emerging markets; our Hong Kong (China) and Singapore entities handle cross-border settlement and licensing.

2Key Activities

Initiation driven by end-market demand; global sourcing where possible, in-house development and production where not; integrated technology transfer, quality control, audit, registration and compliance; AI digitalization throughout; sustained after-sales supply.

3Value Propositions

Products can be sourced — capability must be ours: source globally where a qualified option exists, develop and produce in our own plants where none does. One integrated chain from initiation to after-sales, under one accountable party.

4Customer Relationships

Trust builds in stages — first a batch, then development, then localisation. A dedicated project contact, proactive notice on changes and deviations, and no one-off transactions.

5Customer Segments

Small and mid-size formulators in Europe and emerging markets; overseas buyers who need a second source; pipeline owners seeking out-licensing and localised production.

6Key Resources

Tiered supplier network with named-site dossiers, quality and registration documentation system, selection and intelligence database, go-global dosage database, overseas platform and settlement channels.

7Channels

Website and inquiry intake, trade shows and industry events (CPhI and similar), overseas BD visits and online meetings, digital outreach and the member area.

8Cost Structure

Sourcing and manufacturing cost, quality and compliance spend (audits, testing, documentation), technical and registration staff, logistics and customs, overseas platform operations. Spend is approved per project — never a blurred pass-through to the client.

9Revenue Streams

Goods price on trade supply; project fees for development and technology transfer, staged by milestone; retainer and success fees on licensing matchmaking; royalty and recurring API supply once transfer lands.

Cooperation models, responsibility and fees

One row per commercial relationship. If a project spans two models, we state it in writing before work starts.

Paid placement or priority recommendation never replaces technical and quality fit. Candidates are ranked on specification, documentation and site capability, and the reason is shown with each one.

These three models are alternatives chosen by project need, not steps you must buy in sequence. Many buyers start with a single shipment and stop there.

Let's start with the four things you worry about most

In cross-border pharma-intermediate sourcing, the problem was never 'is there stock'—it's these four things.

Can't pinpoint01

Dozens of Chinese plants can make this intermediate, with quotes ranging from 800 to 3,000—and no one tells you where the gap is, or in which document.

Can't trust02

Who issued the CoA, and was the method validated? Are batch numbers continuous? Will changes be notified? If the plant switches, do we re-run the impurity profile?

Can't connect03

Getting the goods is only the start: export docs, registration files, cold-chain and hazardous shipping, target-market compliance—who owns it?

No one accountable04

Five suppliers each own one slice; a plant changes staff, a lab drops the ball, lead times slip—and in the end the customer comes to you, yet you control none of it.

We offer three delivery tiers, matched to your stage of need

Not sure which tier to start at? Most clients begin with Trade, using one or two batches to gauge our reliability.

01TradeSpot Supply
When to choose this tier

You already know the exact product and need qualified material now

What we do
  • Match pre-audited suppliers to your spec and produce a tiered quotation
  • Place orders against a signed quality agreement, locking batch and lead time
  • Deliver full batch documentation with the goods—never just a single CoA
What you get
CoA (with impurity profile)Batch record summarySDSStability data (where available)
Entry barrier
Low — from 1 kg, no long-term agreement required
Typical cycle
2–6 weeks
02ProgramProgram Development
When to choose this tier

The material isn't in any catalog, or existing suppliers can't hit your spec

What we do
  • Technical review sets the route and acceptance criteria before any work begins
  • Lab trial → analytical method development & validation → impurity profile & forced degradation
  • Scale-up and process validation to build a reproducible tech package
What you get
Route and alternative routesCQAs / CPPs and analytical methodsImpurity profile and batch recordsTechnical package document set
Entry barrier
Medium — requires technical review and NDA
Typical cycle
6–20 weeks
03Tech TransferTech Transfer
When to choose this tier

You need a second source, local production, or to pass regulatory review

What we do
  • Transfer the full process and method package, reproduced to acceptance criteria
  • Scale-up validation and batch-to-batch continuity confirmation
  • Compilation of registration dossiers and lifecycle maintenance support
What you get
Reproducible process packageMethod & process transfer reportsDMF / CEP module supportOn-site technical support
Entry barrier
High — built on prior collaboration and audits
Typical cycle
3–12 months

Why structure it this way? Because trust in a cross-border supply relationship is built layer by layer: first we prove we can deliver a qualified batch on time, then that we can solve a spec no one else has, and only last do we discuss handing over process and registration files. We won't pitch tech transfer on a first engagement, nor force a consulting package when you only want material.

Underpinning these three tiers are three layers of capability

In a seller's market, everyone claims to have a network and resources. We break these three layers out so you can check each one.

Selection & Intelligence Layer01Where to play

We don't start from 'whatever the plant has to sell.' We work back from end-market demand: which blockbusters are near their patent cliff, which generics are being filed intensively, and which critical fragments no one can make.

  • LOE opportunity library: an opportunity list organized by patent cliff and critical intermediate
  • Each opportunity tags the end drug, window period, critical fragment, technical barrier and supply concentration
  • Conclusion before quotation—we explain 'why this one' before we discuss price
Supply & Process Layer02How to make it

Suppliers aren't a price-comparison list—they're a tiered network: core plants for volume, flexible plants for special reactions, analytical labs for cross-checking. Technical barriers live in the process, not in the pitch.

  • Core plants (long-term): quality and confidentiality agreements lock in priority capacity
  • Flexible plants: small-batch custom, hazardous & highly potent reactions, special equipment
  • Technical strengths: chiral synthesis & asymmetric catalysis · fluorinated and difluorinated building blocks · multi-step coupling & heterocycles · continuous flow and AI-assisted route design
Quality Governance Layer03How to prove it

This is the line that separates a 'trader' from a 'solutions partner.' QA doesn't just 'collect reports and stamp them'—it owns audits, agreements, deviations and data integrity.

  • Supplier audits & quality agreements: tiering, annual re-review, critical-change notification
  • Project quality loop: work order → plan → batch record → QC → deviation / CAPA → CoA → archive
  • Data integrity: a unified data room retains raw spectra and batch records, supporting later due diligence and review
Our boundaries (stated up front, so you don't find out later)

We do not promise end-to-end GLP safety assessment or formulation-side cGMP manufacturing, nor do we build our own bulk-chemical capacity. What we provide is supply-chain quality traceability and delivery assurance for pharmaceutical intermediates and APIs: supplier audits, quality agreements, batch documentation, deviation closure and data retention. Where responsibility for safety assessment, clinical trials or formulation registration sits elsewhere, we point clearly to qualified partners rather than glossing over it.

Finished-Dosage Go-Global & Technology Transfer · the T-Bond Model

Turning a buying relationship into a making relationship — carried by Shanghai Brisalus Biomedical.

China's API and finished-dosage manufacturing is globally competitive, yet technology transfer and localisation remain under-exploited. The T-Bond (Technology-Bond) model uses API-to-dosage technology transfer as the binding link between front-end supply and back-end technical service. Clients may enter at any layer; continuing down is one continuous path.

Four-layer value chain
01 · Supply & access

Continuous supply of advanced intermediates and API is where trust starts. While supplying, we identify the partner's local-production intent and technology-transfer needs.

02 · Demand conversion

We upgrade a purchasing need into a technical cooperation need — from buying intermediate to making the dosage form locally. Commercial and technical teams assess feasibility and the registration path together.

03 · Technology transfer

We lead the API-to-dosage transfer: process validation, analytical method transfer, stability studies and dossier preparation, delivered to the target country's GMP requirements.

04 · Commercialisation

After transfer, the supply relationship becomes long-term: recurring API purchases, milestone receipts and a share of dosage-form sales — a predictable cash return.

How we are paid
  • Technology transfer fee

One-off, scoped case by case according to project complexity and registration scope.

  • Milestone payments

Staged against completion of process validation, BE study passage and registration approval, keeping the partner's upfront exposure low.

  • Royalty on sales

An agreed share of annual dosage-form sales after launch, tying our return to how the product actually performs.

  • Supply linkage

Once transfer lands, API purchasing becomes recurring — supply and technology reinforce each other.

Who this serves
  • Small and mid-size European formulators

They hold local market access and registration capability but lack a stable API source and a transfer partner, and want dosage-form capability fast.

  • Emerging-market formulators

Driven by supply-chain security and localisation policy, they need a one-stop package of Chinese API plus technology transfer.

  • Pipeline owners

Biotech and license-out parties that need overseas registration and commercial networks to license and land their pipelines.

Why us
Access

Established commercial relationships with European and emerging-market formulators — a client entry point that pure transfer service providers cannot easily replicate.

Technical

Hands-on API-to-dosage transfer experience, process and analytical method transfer capability, and EU / US GMP registration compliance know-how.

Data

A go-global dosage database and client management system that turns products, regulations, plants and buyers into a reusable information advantage.

What the transfer package contains

Process validation protocol and report, analytical method transfer and confirmation, stability protocol and data, registration documentation prepared to target-country requirements (CTD modules), plus on-site support and Q&A through the transfer.

We do not claim every product can be transferred. Technical due diligence comes before signature: where transfer is feasible we state scope and milestones; where it is not, we say so plainly. Fees and milestone schedules follow the project review — there is no fixed price list.

The evidence you can request

We do not ask you to infer capability from a label. For a named product and market we confirm what actually exists.

Site and entity

Which legal entity contracts, which site manufactures, and what that site is qualified for.

Documentation status

Material specification, analytical data, and applicable regulatory records — listed as available, on request, or not yet available.

Publicly shareable summary

What we can send before any confidentiality agreement is in place.

Under CDA

What becomes available after a signed mutual confidentiality agreement, and how to request it.

Request the documentation list

Every item is confirmed per project. We do not publish confidential material, and we do not present a demonstration record as proof of delivery.

How fees work

We don't run a 'margin-only' model, and we don't hide fees inside quotes. Below are the possible charges, combined per the actual project.

ItemBilling pointDescription
Material supplyPer batchA supply price that includes quality management and delivery assurance—not a simple buy-low/sell-high margin.

Which tier to start at is your call

Tell us the product or CAS, the spec and quantity you need, and the target country—within 3 business days we return a technical-review conclusion and a commercial proposal. No long-term agreement up front, and no need to disclose your project on first contact.

The cycles, barriers and deliverables on this page are typical ranges; the actual values follow the project's technical-review conclusion and contract. Matters involving registration and compliance are confirmed manually by the target-country authority and the compliance owner.
